Create-a-Spell/talent to fix Boomkin PvP

[:1]Now that I've made a few random threads about Moonkin not being viable in PvP, I've decided to see what other people would do.

Treat this like a forum game, 1 spell or talent (or spell/talent modification) per post.

I'll start, feel free to use the format I use or create your own.

Name: Lunar Blitz
Spell or Talent: Talented Spell
Cooldown: 20 seconds.
Cast Time: Instant.
What does it do?: The druid takes on a form of pure lunar energy and charges forward 20 yards. Takes about the same time to get to the destination as charge would. All targets in the path of the spell take Arcane damage and are stunned for 3 seconds.
Why is it useful?: It gives the Moonkin mobility and survivability. It can be used to stun a healer in the distance, it can be used to escape from a rogue, etc.
Glyph?: Yes.
Glyph Type: Major.
Glyph increases cooldown by 15 seconds but allows use of the ability while stunned or silenced.
This is not a new spell however change suggestions to fix balance pvp.

All of these changes may not be needed, but several of them would go a long way to helping balance out in pvp.

- Remove the restriction on what kind of spells are able to be cast while in moonkin form, fully allow the moonkin to cast heals. Now that cata is out, balance healing is already fairly low, I see no reason for a restriction here anymore then a ret paladin or an elemental shaman is restricted from casting heals in their dps "form" (they are not), and shadow priests can still power word shield which was super buffed recently.

- Make a talent available deep into balance so only balance can spec to it that makes roots instant cast for them, they need methods of getting melee off of them. Either that or make a talent that turns entangling roots into a 20 or 30 sec cool down however makes its effect "Root-Nova". Balance is a mini mage spec, so let them have aoe roots around them as an oh crap save me button.

- Allow them to cast wrath and starfire while moving, make this a benefit of being in moonkin form or something, they need to be able to move while casting because these two spells are required to be cast in order to get into an eclispse state. However the current method requires a moonkin to stand still to cast these spells to achieve an eclipse state. The problem comes from the other main balance mechanic in pvp is the moonfire spam talent that allows moonfires damage to go way up and mana cost to go way down but requires you keep moving. These two mechanics work against eachother and should be changed. Allowing the balance druid to cast wrath and starfire on the move allows the druid to keep his requirements [lunar showers] while giving him a chance to make use of his mastery.

- Give balance a talent that allows a chance to proc off starfire for a % self heal. This is only fair since every one else has self heals now, ret paladins have divine purpose for instant 3 holy power word of glories (and with eternal glory it can easily be two of them), ferals have predatory strikes that allows them a heal to proc off using combo points, give balance equal treatment.

Make some changes like I suggest and you might finally show balance druids that you didnt make the spec simply to laugh at people who chose it.

Actually that's badass. I'd kill for that.

some tweaks from a feral perspective:

1) allow lifebloom in moonkin form

2) restore instant roots via glyph, but with a 30s CD instead of 5s.
2b) add the overgrowth talent back onto fungal growth: your entangling roots spell affects all enemies within 10yrds of the target.

3) add talent support for nature's grasp to balance tree somewhere, drop the CD to 30s, so boomers have it up with much higher frequency.

4) travel form needs to break roots again (this would be pretty cool for feral too).

5) fix typhoon latency issues, increase knockback range (like thunderstorm)

6) solar beam off GCD. if cast with no target selected it brings up the targeting reticule (not sure if they have the tech to do that), allowing it to be cast on an area.

7) starsurge gets the 2s knockdown back.

The single biggest problem with Balance at my rating level (1500-1600) is that if the opponent's team has a healer, and that healer knows how to press the Dispel button, we automatically lose.

Balance druid's DPS, especially in high mobility situations (such as PvP) is 25 to 50% dependent on our DoT's. No DoT ticks mean no Shooting Stars procs, either. So if you want to guarantee (and I really do mean guarantee) victory over a Moonkin, all you have to do is push the Dispel button.

A lot of people will talk about mobility, defensive cooldowns, and offensive CC abilities. These are valid points and worthy discussing. But they are nowhere near the level of severity that our DoT dependence is.

We were designed in a time when not everyone could dispel Magic. Blizzard has not caught up to this yet. Balance druids need a passive talent similar to Aff Lock's. There needs to be some minor cost / consequence to Dispel - maybe a % chance at a brief stun, or maybe we get energy toward an Eclipse, or something like this.

I don't see any way our class could be balanced in a small scale situation (2v2, etc) without this. On the flip side, you can see how powerful this class is for things like battlegrounds. It's very rare that I will not be 1st place in dmg and killing blows in BG's. Difference? My DoT's aren't being instantly dispelled.

dot dispells proc shooting stars?

that might be a bit too strong though.
